RHOC star and lawyer Emily Simpson admits she dated a drug dealer before marrying strict Mormon Shan
REAL Housewife and attorney Emily Simpson has admitted she used to date a drug dealer before marrying her strict Mormon husband, Shane.
The 43-year-old shocked Real Housewives of Orange County viewers by claiming she loved Jet Skis because she once rode with her drug-dealing ex.
During the ladies' trip to Florida, Emily, Gina Kirschenheiter and Kelly Dodd went Jet Skiing, and seemed to be having a great despite Gina's fear of deep waters.
Emily told the cameras during her confessional: "Mama got it. I have been Jet Skiing many, many times, because I used to date a drug dealer who had a boat and lots of Jet Skis."
The news came as a shock to many fans, as Emily is an accomplished California-based lawyer, and known as being the voice of reason between the Orange County housewives.
In addition, Emily is currently married to straight-laced Mormon, Shane Simpson.
Shane, who doesn't drink or party with the rest of the reality TV group, has expressed several times on the show that he doesn't agree with the ladies' wild nights.
He once lashed out when Gina was being loud at the couple's home during a rowdy poker night.
He yelled at his wife: "Get her out!"
Stunned fans sounded off on social media about the confession.
Some social media followers questioned how a lawyer could have dated a drug dealer, while others asked how she could have left the drug dealer for her no-nonsense current spouse.
One tweet read: "Damn, Emily should've stayed with the drug dealer."
And another said: "Oh, Emily, a drug dealer seriously? And you're married to Shane? Something doesn't add up."

Emily and Shane have had a rocky marriage in the last couple of seasons due to Shane's harsh opinions of his wife and her friends.
During one episode, Emily confronted Shane and told him that he needed to change the way he spoke to her.
She said: "I have trouble with the way that you talk to me sometimes."
"I don't like the condescending tone. It's sarcasm all the time. I get tired of being the butt of all your jokes sometimes."
The couple has been married for more than 10 years, and have three children together.
Shane also has two children from his first marriage.
